Grafik Intervention, originally conceived as an MFA graphic design thesis project by William Culpepper, uses digital projections to engage the public through visually dynamic and compelling communication methods.
The projections are designed to provide historical information in an urban context. The goal is to inspire community members to consider the potential of current unused buildings in their community.
For our Grafik Intervention in Ada, my Advanced Visual Communication class focused on the history of The Ada Depot, an unused building with a Stick Style beside the railroad tracks. We wanted to inspire the community to think about all the possibilities the Depot could be. Additionally, we held an art & history exhibit inside the Depot.
